This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for illosketchbook.com (referred to as the “Site”).  illo sketchbook, the provider of the Site (referred to as “us” or “we”) is committed to protecting your privacy online.  Please read this information to learn the following regarding your use of this Site.

 

You acknowledge that this Privacy Policy is part of our Site Terms of Use, and by accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by all of its terms and conditions.  If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use this Site.

 

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time.  Any modification or amendment to this policy will be effective as of the date that we post it and your continued use of this Site will mean that you agree to the new terms.  Please check this page from time to time to make sure you are aware of our latest privacy practices, as they will apply to all current and past users of our Site and will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent.  Your continued use of the Site after any modifications or amendments will constitute your acknowledgment of the policy and your agreement to abide by and be bound by the modified policy.

 

Types of Information Collected.

We collect two types of information about the Users of our Site: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Our primary goal in collecting information from you is to provide you with a smooth and efficient experience while using our Site.

Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. When you engage in certain activities on this Site, such as including but not limited to submitting information through the Contact page, filling out a survey, sending us feedback, or entering a contest, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself.  It is completely voluntary for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, we may ask that you provide us personal information, including but not limited to your first and last name, mailing address (including zip code), email address, telephone number and/or other personal identifying information.  

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on our Site. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include geographic, hardware and software information such as what type of browser you are using or mobile device type, and which URL (Uniform Resource Locator) you just came from or where you go to next and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.

 

Collection Methods and Use of Information.

We do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. If you voluntarily provide your Personally Identifiable Information, we intend to provide an additional Opt In option to accompany your submission.

 

If applicable, you may have the opportunity to provide certain Personally Identifiable Information to us when you: (a) register your email address with us to be included in one of our databases; (b) enter contests sponsored by us or participate in surveys; (c) submit information via the Contact page and its third-party host; and/or (d) send email messages, submit forms and/or transmit other information by telephone, letter and/or email. If you voluntarily provide us with your Personally Identifiable Information, you agree to do so honestly and in accordance with this site’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and other applicable terms.  If you are transferred to the site hosted by a third party, please understand such site(s)’ privacy policy and refer to this policy’s Privacy Policies of Third Party Sites for more information.  We may also collect information from you at other points on our Site that state such information is being collected.

 

We may also collect certain Non-Personally Identifiable Information. This information is ultimately stored in the form of categories, and in some cases, specific URLs.  We may also obtain information about you that is publically available such as information you decide to post on a social media site and for which you will be solely responsible for such postings.  

 

We will primarily use your Personally Identifiable Information to enhance the operation of our Site, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze Site use, improve our product and service offerings, and customize our Site's content, layout, and services.  We may use Personally Identifiable Information as it relates to your submissions via the Shop page, and its third-party hosting site, and/or to enforce our agreements with you.

 

Release of Information.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information to others unless required to do so by law. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation.  We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful.

 

We may also provide Non-Personally Identifiable Information about traffic patterns and related Site information to third parties, but these statistics do not include any Personally Identifiable Information.

 

Updating and Correcting Information and Opt-Out.

You may correct Personally Identifiable Information provided to us by emailing us through the Contact form. Please include your name, address, and email address when you contact us.  We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes.

 

You may Opt-Out from receiving information from us at any time by unsubscribing.  You may also ask at any time to have your information deleted or removed; however, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information because of backups.

 

Security of Information.

At our Site, you can be assured that your Personally Identifiable Information is secure, consistent with current industry standards. The importance of security for all Personally Identifiable Information associated with our Customer is of utmost concern to us. Your Personally Identifiable Information resides on a secure server that only selected illo sketchbook personnel and contractors have access to via password.

 

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we strive to protect your Personally Identifiable Information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered within transit by a third party.

 

Cookies.

When you use our Site, we will store cookies on your computer and we use Google Analytics to analyze, to track patterns and/or for marketing purposes in order to facilitate and customize your use of our Site. A cookie is a small data text file, which a website stores on your computer's hard drive (if your web browser permits) that can later be retrieved to identify you to us. The cookies make your use of the Site easier, make the Site run more smoothly and help us to maintain a secure Site. You are always free to decline our cookies, if your browser permits, and/or Opt-Out such as by visiting the Google Analytics Opt-out page and following its instructions.  You understand that some parts of our Site may not work properly in that case.

 

Do Not Track Signals.

At this time, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals.  We cannot guarantee if third parties accessed from this Site do or do not respond to these signals.  For more information on your particular browser or device’s Do Not Track options, please see your browser and/or your device’s settings.

Except as otherwise discussed in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. Other sites accessible through this Site have their own privacy policies and data collection, use and disclosure practices. Please consult each site's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties. Additionally, other companies that may place advertising on our Site may collect information about you when you view or click on their advertising through the use of cookies. We cannot control this collection of information.  You should contact these advertisers directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.

 

Miscellaneous Privacy Issues.

You must be at least 18 years old to have permission to use the Site.  We recognize the importance of children’s safety and privacy on the Internet.  For this reason and in compliance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children/minors.  We ask that children/minors under the age of 18 do not use our Site or disclose Personally Identifiable Information to us.
